About Marcqui. 

Marcqui Akins currently lives in Atlanta, hails from Miami, and photographs subjects all over the world. Marcqui enjoys exploring the culture that surrounds the individuals he shoots while sharing their narrative. When not shooting photography, he directs his aim to the football pitch.

The work

Marcqui has contributed to editorials such as Lincoln Road Magazine, NY Post, Vanity Fair, and Black magazine. He has shot campaigns for the Brooklyn Circus, Eva Scrivo, and Global Vessels, among others. His work has been featured in GUP Magazine and CMYK Mag, but he would never tell you because he prefers to give the accolades to his team.
